Examples of achievements

What we have already achieved

Supporting mothers

At CHUK Roi Khaled Hospital, 120 mothers were trained in nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and received a food support kit.

Supporting vulnerable patients

At Kamenge District Health Hospital, with STI, 103 people (maternity and hospitalised patients) received nutrition education and food and hygiene support kits.

Raising community awareness

The July 2025 awareness week brought together 120 participants in Cibitoke and Buyenzi around essential nutrition practices.

Training young people

In three universities in Bujumbura, students are trained in nutrition through PROCUN; 33 CUN_EASU members received their training certificate at EASU.

How we fund our activities

NUSAMSBE funds its activities through members' contributions, income-generating activities, donations and grants, as well as partnerships with other organisations and international funding.

Our commitment to transparency

In line with our value of transparency, the accounts are presented to the General Assembly, which meets in ordinary session once every six months, and activity and financial reports are made available to donors and partners.
